Alex Kassian is a Kyoto-born producer and DJ based in Berlin since 2013. He initially developed his sound in London during university, hosting warehouse parties before moving to Germany, and has since released solo work on labels including Utopia and Love On The Rocks. As one half of Opal Sunn with Hiroaki Oba, he co-runs the Planet Sundae label and creates cinematic live performances using hardware synthesizers and drum machines. His productions blend lush, organic textures with electronic elements, drawn from influences spanning IDM, ambient, and dance music.
