Not Today is an independent, fan-built iOS app for navigating nights at Berghain. It is not made by, endorsed by, or affiliated with the club. Short version: we collect as little as possible, never sell it, show no ads, and do no cross-app tracking.

What we collect

• If you set up Friends: a display name you choose, an optional profile photo, an optional Instagram handle, and the friend connections you make by sharing a six-letter code. You can set a floor "pin" to show friends which room you're in — this is chosen manually by you; the app never reads your GPS or location in the background.
• Notifications: if you enable them, a device push token so we can send the alerts you asked for (a lineup dropping, a friend asking where you are).
• Door wait times: estimates you submit from the queue are stored anonymously and aggregated — they aren't tied to your identity.
• Anonymous analytics: aggregated usage data (via TelemetryDeck) to understand how the app is used and improve it. No advertising identifiers, no profiles, no cross-app tracking.

What we don't do

• No ads, and we never sell or rent your data.
• No background or GPS location.
• No access to your contacts, and no photo access beyond a picture you explicitly pick.
• No third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.

Where your data lives

Data is stored on our own server in the EU (Germany). Your profile photo is re-encoded and stored on our server rather than hot-linked from anywhere else.

Your control

• Delete your account at any time in the app: Friends → your profile → Delete account. This permanently removes your account, friend connections, code, and photo from our server.
• Rotate your sharing code from your profile if it ever leaks.
• You can use most of the app (door times, events, Garten, lineups) without creating any account at all.

Children

The app is about nightlife and isn't directed at children. Please don't use it if you're under 18.
