Not Today/ ARTISTSUK-born Anil Chawla, known as Amotik, moved to Berlin in 2014 and has developed a signature sound rooted in hypnotic, atmospheric techno with raw undertones. He released a series of EPs on his self-titled imprint starting in 2015, followed by guest appearances on 47, BPitch Control, and Figure before issuing his debut album Vistār in 2019 and second album Patanjali in 2022. Known for layered closing sets that emphasize storytelling through tension and release, Amotik has performed at Berghain and other major venues while maintaining residencies at Goethebunker in Essen and Pax-Romana in Amsterdam. He founded the AMTK+ sub-label and has collaborated with artists like Answer Code Request on bass-heavy explorations of breaks and UK roots. His work blends elements of ambient, broken beats, and textured soundscapes within a core techno framework.
