Toronto-born Aquarian is a Berlin-based producer and DJ who broke out in 2012 with a trio of records for UNO NYC. His sound synthesizes Drexcylian electro, old-school jungle, UK grime, and Detroit-influenced techno into propulsive, dancefloor-focused tracks. He runs the Hanger Management imprint and has released through Bedouin Records, Houndstooth, and Dekmantel, including his 2020 debut album The Snake That Eats Itself. As both a producer and DJ, Aquarian practices genre-agnostic curation, moving fluidly between broken-beat techno, footwork, baile funk, and rave hybrids, resisting constraints of monolithic sound.
