Not Today/ ARTISTSBanu grew up in South Eastern Turkey in the underground rave scene and is now based in Berlin. As a DJ and electronic music producer, she specializes in techno with a groovy bounce, working with analog synthesizers to craft sets that blur music and sound art. Her research-based practice combines music production, installations, and academic work as a lecturer in Sonic Studies at Universität der Künste Berlin. She views sound and music as political tools for empowerment, collaborating exclusively with BIPOC, women, and LGBTQI+ communities. Banu has performed at major venues including Berghain and toured internationally across Europe, Africa, and Latin America, while hosting a monthly show at Refuge Worldwide Radio.
