Barbara Preisinger began DJing in Munich in 1996 before relocating to Berlin in 1998, where she became integral to the city's electronic music infrastructure. In 1999 she co-founded the experimental label ~scape with Stefan Betke (Pole), releasing work by Kit Clayton, Jan Jelinek, and Deadbeat. Her musical focus shifted over two decades from minimalist ambient toward groove-oriented house and deep techno. In 2009 she launched Slices Of Life, a vinyl imprint dedicated to warm, organic-sounding club music and featuring artists including The Mole, Mike Huckaby, Dana Ruh, and John Tejada. She has performed globally at venues and festivals including Sonar, Transmediale Berlin, and Mutek.
