Sam Barker is a British-born, Berlin-based producer and DJ who emerged from the UK electronic music scene and moved to Germany to co-found Leisure System, a Berghain residency and label launched in 2008. A long-standing resident of Berghain, he explores rhythmically complex and experimental variants of dance music, often departing from conventional 4/4 structures. His solo work for Ostgut Ton, including the EPs Debiasing and album Utility, combines dub, ambient, and leftfield sound design with subtle dancefloor awareness. He also performs as Barker & Baumecker with Panorama Bar resident nd_baumecker, and continues to design custom instruments and sound installations alongside his production and DJ work.
