An early member of the queer San Francisco collective Honey Soundsystem, Yang has built a distinct sound using analog synthesizers that blends Italo disco, new wave, and synth punk with darker EBM and techno elements. His releases on Dark Entries and Honey Soundsystem Records over two decades have established him as a versatile multi-instrumentalist whose work oscillates between emotive, pop-inflected passages and relentless dancefloor-focused cuts. Beyond performing, Yang heads multiple labels including Körperspannung, which he launched as a vehicle for his analog vision of queer club futures.
