Boris grew up in West Berlin and spent the mid-1980s in New York, where he absorbed the house and disco aesthetics of Paradise Garage and the Loft before returning to Berlin in the early 1990s as the techno scene emerged. He was a resident at Panorama Bar starting in the late 1990s and transitioned to Berghain from its 2004 opening, where he became known for marathon sets that span night into afternoon. As a producer, he released work through Ostgut Ton and served as A&R for Careless Records. His sets move fluidly across functional and atmospheric techno, shaped by his exposure to New York's eclectic club culture and Berlin's electronic landscape.
