Carlos Valdes is an Amsterdam-based DJ, promoter, and label owner active since 1999. He is the founder of IsBurning, the iconic LGBTQ+ party series that began at Trouw and has expanded internationally, and co-owns Pamela, a popular queer bar. Valdes works across house and techno, known for selecting records that suit the moment rather than playing obvious hits. Beyond DJing, he has released music on Studio Soulrock and other labels, championing artists including Young Marco and Tom Trago. He has played residencies at Trouw and Les Enfants Terribles in Amsterdam, and performed at venues across Europe and beyond including Panorama Bar, Robert Johnson, and international festivals.
