Carolina Schutzer, known as Cashu, is a DJ and producer based in São Paulo and a central figure in the city's queer underground electronic music scene. Since co-founding the Mamba Negra collective with Carneosso in 2013, she has used her platform to advance political issues and create safe spaces for women and LGBTQIA+ communities through parties and a label. Her sets draw from a wide range of influences, moving fluidly between techno, breakbeat, electro, and Brazilian rhythms like funk and baile, responding intuitively to the energy and geography of each space. Beyond DJing, Cashu has been active as a cultural curator and advocate, collaborating with São Paulo's Department of Culture and touring internationally across Europe, North America, Latin America, and beyond. She has performed at venues including Panorama Bar/Berghain and festivals such as Dekmantel and Sónar.
