Chida is a Tokyo-based DJ and label owner who emerged as a central figure in Japan's underground house scene from the early 1990s onwards. He founded Ene Records in 2009, an ultra-limited underground imprint that has released material from both international producers like Prins Thomas, Eddie C, and Tiago, and Japanese artists such as The Backwoods and Sly Mongoose. Known for marathon DJ sets that often exceed eight hours, Chida has built a global presence while remaining rooted in deep house and house music traditions. He has played regularly at Berlin venues including Berghain and maintains an eclectic approach to selection that ranges across house, disco, funk, and beyond, grounded in record collecting and a passion for timeless music.
