Not Today/ ARTISTSChontane is a Berlin-based producer and DJ with Ukrainian roots who grew up immersed in the city's techno culture. Born David Natochen, he began DJing at age 17 and started his professional career at 19, gaining early residency at Krach Nights in Humboldthain. His approach to production draws from formal training in sound design and audio engineering, enabling meticulous attention to detail across his releases. His music blurs the lines between techno, breaks, and electro, combining driving percussion with groovy, soulful textures inspired by 1990s and early 2000s club records. Since his debut in 2018, he has released on labels including ARTS, Mutual Rytm, Rekids, and his own imprint TANE, and plays regularly at venues across Europe from Tresor and Berghain in Berlin to Basement in New York.
