Berlin-based producer Simone Scardino creates complex, introspective techno under the CONCEPTUAL moniker. Active since around 2020, he has released on labels including Polegroup, Semantica, Ara Duna, and Delirio, crafting work that spans hypnotic, atmospheric passages and demanding industrial-edged rhythms. His sound draws from sci-fi and mental techno traditions, prioritizing detail and unconventional arrangement over dancefloor immediacy. Scardino also founded Friendship Collective, a Berlin-based art and music collaborative, extending his practice beyond solo production.
