Not Today/ ARTISTSCurses is a Berlin-based musician and DJ whose real name is Luca Venezia. Working across live performance with guitars and vocals alongside DJ sets, he blends New Wave and Post-Punk with 80s EBM and New Beat influences, framing them through dark Italo-Disco aesthetics. His debut album Romantic Fiction arrived on Jennifer Cardini's Dischi Autunno label in 2018, establishing his live act as a duo. Beyond releases on Permanent Vacation, Bordello A Parigi, and other labels, Curses is known for curating the critically acclaimed compilation Next Wave Acid Punx on Eskimo Recordings, a three-disc survey of dark club music and post-punk influences spanning decades. He brings punk energy and romantic sensibility to stages ranging from Circoloco DC-10 to festival circuits.
