D.Dan is a Berlin-based DJ and producer who moved to the city from Seattle after encountering Berghain and the broader club scene there. He came into electronic music through a background as a percussionist and drummer, which informed his approach to grooved, rhythmically intense techno. His releases on labels including Lobster Theremin, Arsenik, Amniote Editions, and KAOS established him in the underground, with his 2018 Covert Operation EP gaining particular attention. He became a resident at Mala Junta, one of Berlin's most respected underground techno collectives, alongside other key figures in the city's scene.
