Delta Funktionen is the project of Dutch producer and DJ Niels Luinenburg, based in Friesland after a decade in Berlin. Beginning his career in the late 2000s with releases on Delsin and Ann Aimee, he has built a reputation as a technically skilled DJ and producer drawing from Detroit techno, Chicago house, and electro. His sets are story-driven, blending dark and atmospheric techno with breaks and IDM textures, informed by years spent in record shops. He founded Radio Matrix in 2014 and held residencies at Tresor and Trouw before a brief hiatus from 2020 to 2024; he returned to releasing and touring in 2025.
