Hailing from Osaka and based in Tokyo, DJ MARIA. emerged as a key figure in Japan's contemporary techno scene. She started DJing in 2014 after discovering dance music through psytrance culture and has since performed at major venues including Berghain in Berlin and Bassiani in Georgia. As a producer, she has released the Acid Sunrise EP on Beyond the Galaxy and contributed to humanitarian compilations by Bassiani Records and Deep Fundraisers. Her sound weaves together acid, trance, and psychedelic elements across both club and open-air festival settings. Beyond touring and recording, she co-runs two Japanese forest festivals and remains active in shaping Japan's outdoor electronic music landscape.
