Not Today/ ARTISTSDJ Masda was born in Shizuoka, Japan at the foot of Mt. Fuji and began spinning vinyl in the 1990s before relocating to Berlin. He co-founded Cabaret Recordings with So Inagawa, a Tokyo-based imprint focused on house and techno. His DJ sets draw from early techno, electro, and house music, combining meticulous track selection with precise mixing that bridges classic and contemporary sounds. Based between Berlin and Japan, Masda has established himself as a respected selector through podcast contributions to Resident Advisor, Bassiani, and Dimensions, and previously oversaw A&R for Tokyo's Energy Flash Distribution.
