Not Today/ ARTISTSDonato Dozzy
Donato Dozzy is a Rome-born DJ and producer who moved to Berlin in 2004 and held a residency at Panorama Bar, a venue that established his profile within the international techno community. His minimalist approach to hypnotic techno and ambient productions, often distinguished by psychoacoustic precision and intricate sound design, has influenced a generation of producers since the late 2000s. Working across solo projects and collaborations—most notably the ambient-techno project Voices from the Lake with Neel, whose 2012 self-titled debut became a landmark in the genre—Dozzy has released through labels including Further Records, Tresor, and the Rome-based Spazio Disponibile that he co-runs with Neel. Beyond his recorded work, he explores unconventional sonic territories through projects like The Loud Silence, a focused study of mouth harps, and the One Instrument Sessions, a monographic study using only a vintage EMS Synthi synthesizer.
