Efdemin is the stage name of Phillip Sollmann, born in Kassel in 1974 and based in Berlin. As a longtime Berghain resident, he has shaped the club's sound through residencies spanning decades and remains integral to its culture. His productions for Dial, Curle, and Ostgut Ton explore techno through experimental and avant-garde perspectives, blending dancefloor works with drone, ambient, and sound art projects. Beyond DJing, he operates naïf, his own vinyl label, and pursues collaborative ventures in experimental music and installation. His output oscillates between deep, psychedelic techno for the club and expansive compositional works drawing from art, science, and utopian musical traditions.
