Born and raised in Brandenburg, Fiedel has been a central figure in Berlin techno since the 1990s, becoming a resident at Ostgut in 2000 and later at Berghain. He is one half of the production duo MMM alongside Errorsmith and has released music on Ostgut Ton, his own Fiedelone and Fiedeltwo labels, and several other imprints. His sonic palette spans techno, acid, electro, and bass-heavy grooves, drawing from influences beyond conventional 4/4 patterns including dub, jungle, and funk. Fiedel co-runs Wax Treatment parties with Mark Ernestus of Hard Wax and Basic Channel, and launched Super Sound Tool, a label focused on playable club tracks rather than obvious hits.
