Hiroko Yamamura is a DJ and producer based in Chicago who grew up in the city's industrial and house music scenes. She started DJing in the early 2000s after years of attending all-ages venues and juice bars, mentored by pioneers like Mike Dearborn and Delta Nine. Her sound fuses Chicago house and acid with darker techno and industrial influences, drawing from her lifelong interest in science fiction, anime, and goth rock. She has released on labels including Trax Records, Impact Mechanics, Planet E, and Afro Acid Digital, and regularly performs at international venues including Berlin clubs and Detroit Movement Festival. Yamamura is known for sets that traverse genre boundaries while honoring Chicago's rave legacy.
