Jex Opolis is a Canadian musician, producer, and DJ based in New York who works across house, disco, and breakbeat-inflected electronics. Originally from Edmonton, he was a founding member of the electro group DVAS in the early 2000s before establishing himself as a solo artist and label operator. He runs Good Timin', founded in 2013, as well as the club-focused Bad Timin' imprint; both have become fixtures in DJ record bags globally. His releases appear on Running Back and Dekmantel alongside his own labels, marked by melodic sensibility, classic synthesizers, and a sensibility spanning 80s influences to contemporary club music. Beyond production, he has built a reputation as a remix engineer and touring DJ.
