Juliana Huxtable is a Texas-born artist, DJ, and writer based in Berlin since 2020. Equally prolific across visual art, poetry, and music, she co-founded the New York nightlife project Shock Value and is a regular at Berghain and other venues worldwide. Her DJ work blends experimental and chaotic textures—collaborating with producers like SOPHIE and Fatima Al Qadiri—while her multidisciplinary practice explores intersecting themes of identity, race, queerness, and technology. Huxtable integrates poetry into her DJ sets and has exhibited widely at institutions including MoMA, the Whitney Museum, and the New Museum. Her work draws from marginalized internet communities, Afrofuturism, and underground dance cultures to examine contemporary discourses around gender and sexuality.
