Born in Luxembourg to Portuguese parents and now based in Berlin, Katy De Jesus draws on her multicultural background in shaping a house sound rooted in underground 1980s and 1990s material. She discovered electronic music in her mid-twenties and has become a regular presence at Berghain and Panorama Bar, where she plays sets marked by raw rhythm and dynamic energy. Working with labels including SEVEN and Family Unit, and performing as part of the H U S H crew, De Jesus balances vinyl curation with an ear for contemporary production. Her selections reflect traces of Afro-Latin influence woven through high-energy beats, taking the floor on rhythmic journeys that favor feeling over formula.
