Konduku, real name Ruben Üvez, was born and raised in the Netherlands with ancestral roots in Turkey. He has since relocated to Berlin, where he works as a DJ and producer. His debut album Kıran, released on Dutch label Nous'klaer Audio in 2018, announced him as a significant talent and drew on influences including Turkish percussion inherited from his musician father, alongside mid-2000s Italian techno and UK bass culture. His sound is defined by intricate polyrhythmic arrangements and fractured drum patterns that prioritize texture and hypnotic momentum over melodic hooks. Konduku's releases span labels including Delsin's Mantis series and DJ Nobu's Bitta, establishing him as a key voice in percussive, deeply atmospheric contemporary techno.
