Not Today/ ARTISTSMan Power is the alias of Geoff Kirkwood, a North Shields-born DJ, producer, and label owner who has spent over a decade recording house and techno with disco and electro influences. Originally based in Berlin before relocating to Mexico and eventually returning to his hometown, he has released music through labels including Correspondant, Hivern, Throne of Blood, Me Me Me, and Rekids. Beyond production, Kirkwood is known for mentoring emerging DJs and established Are You Affiliated, a grassroots venue in North Shields designed to make nightlife accessible to working-class audiences. His approach spans from deep-textured house to late-90s New York house inflected cuts, informed by influences ranging from electronic composers like Laurie Anderson and Steve Reich to contemporary electronic music.
