Not Today/ ARTISTSMareena grew up in East Germany immersed in the techno sound of the 1990s, developing her roots in dub techno and early 2000s productions. She moved to Berlin in 2004 and began DJing, establishing herself with a long-standing residency at Tresor since 2012, where she also curates the New Faces nights. Her vinyl-oriented sets combine rhythmic, energetic beats with moments of elegance and surprise, reflecting a deep knowledge of electronic music history. Beyond club work, she produces on Tresor, Muzan Editions, and her own label Unrush—which she founded in 2016 as a platform for ambient music and a counterpoint to fast-paced culture. Her work spans both dynamic dancefloor sets and introspective sonic journeys, with modular synthesis becoming central to her evolving production practice.
