Active since the early 2000s, he released his early work on labels including ITISWHATITIS Recordings, Perlon, and Kompakt, establishing himself with tracks like Marionette and Decompression. His live performances are built around real-time manipulation of vintage synthesizers and drum machines, eschewing samples for melodic content in favor of performing and improvising directly with hardware. Beyond his solo career, Jonson collaborates within projects like Cobblestone Jazz and the Modern Deep Left Quartet, and has released studio albums including Agents of Time and Her Blurry Pictures.
