Not Today/ ARTISTSBritish-born DJ Mike Starr relocated to Berlin in late 2009 and has become a regular fixture at Berghain/Panorama Bar, Tresor, and other key Berlin venues, while touring internationally to clubs including Bassiani and Elsewhere NYC. His sound navigates house and techno with an emphasis on groove and soul, drawing from Detroit house, Chicago acid, UK electro and garage, and New York disco traditions. His early production work on Casual Lab, including the Douglas Greed remix of 'Love Away' and the 'Layback' EP, gained support from Noir, Maya Jane Coles, and Horse Meat Disco. He has released on Biotop and remixed for BPitch Control, Sound Black Recordings, and Native City, while hosting the Detroit-focused INDUSTRIE and electro-focused NITE LINE parties at Paloma Bar from 2018 to 2020. His DJ sets emphasize narrative flow and the history of house and techno.
