Born in Montevideo, Uruguay, Nicolas Lutz traveled between South America, London, and Brazil before settling in Berlin, and later Mallorca. He became known for his immense record collection spanning forgotten house, techno, and electro, earning recognition as a curator and selector within Berlin's underground scene. Lutz held a residency at Club der Visionaere and is part of a circle of European DJs known for deep digging and emphasis on stripped-back, hypnotic productions. He works almost exclusively with vinyl and emphasizes long sets and intuitive exploration on the dancefloor. His approach to DJing prioritizes ritualistic exploration over production or wide commercial exposure.
