Not Today/ ARTISTSNorman Nodge was born in Leipzig and raised in Brandenburg, immersing himself in Berlin's early techno scene after the fall of the Wall. As a promoter and DJ throughout the 1990s, he mentored younger producers including Marcel Dettmann and Marcel Fengler before stepping back at decade's end to pursue law and family. Dettmann brought him to Berghain in 2005, where Nodge has since been a monthly resident, specializing in opening sets. He began producing in 2005, releasing material on Marcel Dettmann's MDR label and Ostgut Ton that draws from Detroit and UK techno traditions, marked by dubby grooves and industrial textures. His sound navigates between softer, meditative passages and harder, driving segments, distinguishing him within Berlin's contemporary techno landscape.
