Born and raised in East Berlin, Rødhåd has built a reputation over two decades as a defining figure in Berlin's techno scene. He emerged from the city's underground club culture through marathon DJ sets known for their depth and precision, later becoming associated with Berghain. In 2009, he co-founded the Dystopian party and label, establishing a platform for uncompromising techno during a period when the Berlin scene had shifted toward less focused electronic music. As both producer and DJ, Rødhåd works across dub techno, industrial techno, and ambient-inflected soundscapes, with notable albums including Anxious (2017) and collaborative work through his WSNWG label. His long-form sets and studio work are characterized by hypnotic rhythms, melancholic textures, and meticulous sound design.
