Rashad Becker is a Berlin-based mastering engineer and producer active since the late 1990s. He worked at Dubplates & Mastering from 1997 onwards, the studio founded by Basic Channel, where he mastered and cut over 1,600 records across minimal techno, glitch, dub, and house. Alongside this work, Becker has operated his own studio, Clunk, since the late 2000s and released his debut as a recording artist on PAN in 2013 with Traditional Music of Notional Species Vol. I, followed by Vol. II in 2016. His solo work explores densely layered, abstract synthesizer compositions that blend precision with organic texture.
