Rene Wise is a British DJ and producer from Brighton, now based in Portugal. He began producing at 13 and DJing a year later, drawing on a background in drums and percussion from his Iranian father. His techno sound emphasizes driving rhythms, groove, and hypnotic loops, bridging functional club music with precise compositional detail. He released breakthrough EPs on Luke Slater's Mote-Evolver and has played Berlin's Berghain and other key European institutions. In 2024 he founded Moving Pressure, his own label exploring the relationship between sound and physical movement.
