Not Today/ ARTISTSRex The Dog is the project of British electronic musician Jake Williams, based in London. Originally known for chart success as JX in the 1990s, Williams adopted the Rex The Dog alias around the early 2000s and has released on Kompakt Records since his debut EP Prototype in 2004. His sound centers on stripped-back electro and techno built with analogue electronics and a self-built modular synthesizer. Between 2013 and 2014, Williams attended electronics school to develop custom Eurorack modules, and has since created all his music using hardware synthesizers alongside these handmade components. His recent releases including Sicko and Teufelsberg have gained support from fellow electronic producers and DJs worldwide.
