Roman Flügel is a Frankfurt-born producer and DJ who relocated to Berlin and plays regularly at Berghain's Panorama Bar. Active since the early 1990s, he has defined his career through distinctive work across ambient, IDM, house, techno, and electro. He co-founded the influential labels Ongaku, Klang Elektronik, and Playhouse with collaborators including longtime partner Jörn Elling Wuttke, and later established Sister Midnight. His prolific solo and collaborative output spans Running Back, Dial, ESP Institute, and other imprints, balancing idiosyncratic minimal and experimental techno with quieter ambient projects under aliases like Eight Miles High and Ro70.
