Not Today/ ARTISTSSound Metaphors DJs is the collective name for Nemo Ripoll and Castro Moore, who operate a record label, shop, and DJ duo based in Berlin. Founded in 2015, the project functions as a multi-faceted platform across the city's underground music landscape, distinguishing itself from the techno-centric scene with an eclectic focus spanning house, disco, dub, electronics, and world music. The pair curate via several in-house labels and build their DJ sets with vinyl-focused selections that draw from across genres and decades, creating musical narratives that range from percussive house and deep dub to acid, synth sounds, and disco. Sound Metaphors has established itself as a Berghain fixture, hosting major anniversary celebrations on the venue's multiple floors and drawing a devoted following for their extended DJ sets. Beyond the booth, they design custom H.A.N.D. sound systems that are installed worldwide.
