Japanese DJ and producer Takaaki Itoh emerged from northern Japan in the mid-1990s, establishing himself as a key figure in Japan's underground techno scene before gaining international recognition. He began organizing techno parties in 1994 and started producing in 1996, releasing early tracks through Electracom UK. Itoh made his European debut in 2000 and went on to release extensively across labels including Wols, his own imprint founded in the early 2000s, alongside labels like Modularz and Warm Up.
