Tornado Wallace is the main alias of Berlin-based producer and DJ Lewie Day, originally from Melbourne, Australia. Active since the mid-2000s, he emerged from the Melbourne club scene with disco and house-informed productions before relocating to Berlin to deepen his artistic practice. His discography spans labels including Running Back, Optimo Music, ESP Institute, and Beats In Space, with his 2017 album Lonely Planet marking a shift toward lush, organic soundscapes with ambient and psychedelic textures. Wallace's work combines house, disco, and techno elements with an exploratory sensibility, moving from his earlier disco-influenced groove-based tracks toward more atmospheric and compositional territory.
